I am in my second season with my eagle series 150 rude.
I have just kept adding oil(omc oil)when the tank goes under 1/3 full. Should I be letting it run lower or keeping it at half or does it matter. Just dont know if oil gets old sitting in the plastic tank or not??

If you run it alot then add oil when it is a convenient size - like it takes the whole gallon at once.

if you plan on being cautious, then if anything, keep it full. You are less likely to get water from condensation and you are less likely to run out of oil at a critical time.

Cpt Quint-

I don't think there's any appreciable difference between the plastic containers oil comes in (sits on the shelf in the store) and the plastic VRO reservoir - not to worry.
