A couple of replies to Denny's question suggest a spun prop. Can a hub fail in a way that allows for a decent hole shot but spins at higher RPM?

Thanks

My assumption would be "no", it would be the other way around. It shoudl spin when the max torque is applied on it...ie - during the hole shot.

This sound more like a case of wrong pitch, or wrong diameter...

I have seen spun hubs do weird things.....anything is possible, especially on a light boat.

Sounds more like ventilation to me. Is the motor too high?
