What is the best way to keep LCD on fishfinder from fading due to either heat or sun brightness?

Reduce its exposure to sunlight and overheating: put a white towel over it.

Sounds like a winner...but... here in Fla. during daylight hours it will be almost impossible to foll the screen if it has to be constantly covered with a towel. Are there no screen filters for this problem?
