I am currently running a yamaha 70 hp on a 15' striper turning 5800 and 6000 rpm fully and I mean fully trimmed.
The prop I am using is a stock aluminum prop 13.25 x 17.
What can I expect the performance difference to be by canging to a 13 x 19 stainless prop. Speed and rpm change?

Also I am usually carrying 1 other person, 6 gal. of gas, and 2 batteries. The estimated weight is 1275 lbs. This is boat, motor and contents.

The Yamaha 70 on my 15' Super Sport is turning a 13 x 19 inch aluminum Yamaha propeller. When trimmed out I am seeing 6000 rpm on my Teleflex tachometer at WOT running at about 43 mph. This is with one person and one full tank of gas. The boat is bottom painted.

'90 Johnson 70 HP on '88 15' Striper.
13x19 teflon on stainless

42.7 mph GPS, one person, 6 gallons fuel,
1 battery, full large cooler with typical gear,
trimmed optimally.

Sorry, no tach but I "eared" it at 5645 or 46 rpm.
