I bought a boat That has a Mercrusier outboard. The people gave me a extra prop, but I'm not sure if it is the right prop for the outboard. I think they may have bought the wrong model for this outtboard. The quicksilver part number is 48-16992-22. The boat and outbord is a 93 the hp is 205.

Nobody is answering because you need to talk to more people in person so that you can learn more. It would be hard to walk you through this over the internet.

Obviously your engine is not an outboard.
An outboard is just that,.....the engine is not in the boat, it's out side the boat on the transom while an inboard outboard is when the engine is in the boat but has an outdrive.
A merc cruiser is an i/o.
Why do you feel the prop is not right for your rig ?

Well it is a22" pitch which is probably too big for 205hp(4.3L v6?)

That prop p/n is a model Force 75 (1999) prop for 90-120 hp outboard. It's a 3-blade stainless steel Laser II, 13-1/2" diameter and 22 pitch.

That 48-16992-22 prop also fits Mercury 60BF, 75, 90, 100, 115 & 125 outboards.
It has no I/O aplication as they all run the larger gear case. The Force outboards it fits have the mercury lower unit.

It sure would be nice to have a little more information from Ryan Knight so better answers can be given.
