Hi, Does anyone have any recommendations for the tilt tube grease? Is a marine grade lithium grease fine?

Thanks,
Kevin

My Evinrude specs OMC Triple Guard, so that's what I use.

My '87 90 OMC tilt tube/cable were in really bad shape. Got the rust and crud out of the tube using 1/2 " threaded rod followed by coarse emery cloth slipped into a slotted dowel chucked in a 3/8 drill.

Replaced the cable and head w Teleflex no feed back. Using the Davis lube system. Can't get their nut with lub fixture
to fit on port side of tube with the OMC lock nut so left off the OMC nut. Blue locktite on Davis nut thread so OK. Davis lube is maybe 80w but easy to reapply with their special fitting. End of 2nd seson. Seems to be OK.
