crosvine	posted 11-25-2003 10:54 PM ET (US)         I have a c.1990 NEWPORT 17 with a 90-HP Johnson. What size prop to use? What was the last year this hull was manufactured? Thanks
Bigshot	posted 11-26-2003 01:34 PM ET (US)             Last year for Newport's was 1989. The prop to run is a 13 3/8x17 Stainless or Alum, I prefer stainless. This will get you mid 5's on reline and reline is 5500. Top speed will be low 40's.

JayR	posted 11-29-2003 09:20 AM ET (US)             I am running an Evinrude 88 SPL. It has the original prop which is an aluminum 13 1/4 X 17. At wide open throttle I am spinning at 5750 RPMs. 42 MPH with 1 on board.
