Boat is a Montauk, 1977. The motor is a 1997 Yamaha 90 2s, stock Yammie 13x17. Motor is on transom, all the way down. Running wery light she will pull 5500 wot at 40 mph gps. Normal fishing load wot about 5000 rpm. Towing tubes or skiers seems to be about 4600 rpm, 3- 4 people in the boat.
With the above info what would be a good prop for skiing and tubes. Could I get away with a alum. prop- inexpensive, or do I need a $$ prop. Also could speed be estimated.
Thanks in advance
Mark

Alum is fine, if you are not happy with the 17" try a 15 alum or shop e-Bay for a used one, merc will fit as well. you want a 13x15 or something close like a 13.5X15.
