I started out with Evinrude years ago. A 1982 35 hp. Ran like a champ. I then got a 200 hp Ocean Pro back in 1994. I switched to Yamaha saltwater series 200 and a 40 oil injected. I had no problems with any of my motors. I think all the companies are putting out some really good stuff. I've slod my wellcraft 20 and flatboat 15. Went to a whaler Montauck with a 90 Johnson. I hope this rig gives me the service the other boats have. Run your two strokes often. Thats what I do.

What a great motor! You are gonna love the way that boat performs with that motor.

Just picked up my Seacraft after it's first service on the '99 Johnson 175 (Carbed). Not neglect, only 80 hours. New plugs, water seperator, water pump, changed foot oil, all o.k.. Allowed mechanic to convince me to disconnect the VRO system. Had I known this I probably would have purchased something else. I really enjoyed that luxury. He did show me 2 motors that were sitting there for parts from this same problem. Oh well. Well thats my $ .o2. Good Luck. zotcha.
