I am looking at a outrage with a 2000 115hp merc. What kind of performance could I expect with this set up. I belive it is rated for 200hp. Did someone waste alot of money by not adding hp to start with?? The boat seems to be in good shape and the price is right, but don't want to repower right away.

Is this the 1974 boat that sold on Boat Trader last week?

Hooked, if it's the banana boat style 1970-1979 vintage then is will perform quite well with the 115 four cyl Merc. With right prop (max rpm 5250)it should hit about 40mph and have a decent hole shot, that is if not heavily loaded. Happy Whalin'... Clark... Spruce Creek Navy

Thanks to all. Yes it was the 74 that sold last week, but I just found that out this morning. I will keep looking for that "Banana Boat" that has my name on it.

If you see another one that looks as pretty as that one, and has an engine as new as that one, and has an asking price as low as that one, you might want to pull out the credit card and buy it over the phone. Ask questions later.
