Well my new F200 made it to my dealer yesterday. Made it from Florida to California in 4 days! I quickly pulled the boat (2000 18 Outrage) out of the water and took it to meet its new outboard. Should have it back in a couple days...10 hour break-in, followed by a prop evaluation (using my Mirage 17 from the Opti for base-line runs, then will change if need be), and a full report on performance for anyone that cares.

Although Yamaha and Merc props fit, the older Yamahas did not perform well with Merc props. They seem to like the OEM Yamaha, keep us posted about the F200.

Just looking to use the Merc prop for some baseline testing (speed at rpm etc..) and then I'll roll that info to my local prop shop to decide what's the right prop for the set-up.

I figure that's better than spending $400-$500 on a prop that I "think" will be right for the set-up before testing.

Ultimatly my guess is I'll end up with a 19" but we'll see...I have to go see what that 4-strokes going to do on my transom

With a big 4-stroke, you might want to consider a High Five prop to help with acceleration. A Revolultion 4 prop could be good also.
