Get a manual jackplate for about $175 and keep jacking it until you start losing performance.

Hope its a two stroke or your going to be way down in the stern with the canti-lever effect of the jackplate with that big (heavy) of a motor on a 15 classic hull. You better be prepared to take on water over the transom if you power down to quick in a following sea, hell, you'll get water even on a flat day Id bet. A 70 is plenty motor for a 15, 90 can be to much except maybe on a Mischief. The SSL is the heaviest of all Classic 15 types if memory serves me right except the Mischief? Watch out if she starts chine walking and gets airborne in a cross wind. Your subject to hit on the the side get ejected and have the boat turtle if your not careful. My .02 cents worth.
