posted 03-30-2004 02:33 PM ET (US)         This past weekend a friend of mine who has just purchased a new 20 ft Chapparrel with a big volvo v-8 took three other guys out, all over 200lbs and the boat would not plane. Later, an oil line blew and I had to go get him in my 89 Montauk with an 88,89Johnson. Pulled hi back to the dock and then had to take them (4 people over 200#), my self at 180 and a friend at 120 back to their car. The Montauk was really loaded, but immediatley came up on plane. Really freaked everyone but me out. I love my montauk and my 88 johnson.
