randrewevans	posted 04-25-2004 11:38 PM ET (US)         The 97 225 Johnson OR that came on the Revenge we just bought developed an odd sound in reverse this afternoon.... when just above idle, I hear a clicking noise unlike anything I have heard on my past Yamahas...any thoughts? My first thought is the linkage but any input would be appreciated before I take the darned thing in....

Bigshot	posted 04-30-2004 02:27 PM ET (US)             Does it sound like it is not in gear al the way? Can you have someone drive while you manually press the shift rod aft to try and engage it more? My 225 does not click in reverse.
