What could be the cause for my 03 yamaha 70 to run rough or hesitate at or near full throttle? It almost seems as if the prop is slipping but I don't notice a sudden spike in rpm's. It seems to run fine at cruising speeds and at idle. Is this just a fuel delivery problem, possibly air in the line or could it be something more? Thanks, if anyone out there can help.

I had a similar problem but it went away when I remembered to open the vent screw. Bulb collapsed as well but was normal after vent opening.
I have a 04 yamaha 4 stroke and the only breakend problem was that the throttle wouldn't stay put after about 4k. Easy adjustment to fix, however for a 704 Yamaha control. Take the cover off the control (4 screws) and turn the adjustment screw at the bottom of the front (slotted screwdriver) clockwise to tighten.
