I have a 1981 20' outrage with a 200hp Johnson Ocean Runner. The prop is pretty dinged up and I need to replace it (original alum. prop) I want a stainless prop, but after reading all the info on props, I have no idea what to start with.
Any info would be appreciated.

I have the same boat with a 2000,...200 hp Evinrude thats putting out 222 hp.
If you fish the ocean or rougher waters other than rivers or lakes, you need a 14.25 x 19 s/s Stiletto with the engine up on the 3rd set of holes.
The Stiletto will make your boat ride totally different than the stock omc aluminum.
It will ride much higher on the water [ you wont believe the difference ] & the Stiletto will hang on [ not blow out ] long after the stock omc alum has blown out.
It's really important that the engine be up on the 3rd set of holes.
I think that engine is rated for 5600 rpms max & I don't think the Ocean runner [ carbed ] will have the zip of the DFI engine.
If she in fact does have the power of the DFI engine & over revs, you will need a 14.25 x 21, but I feel the 19p will do more then yopur looking for,
I run the 21p on the Sacramento river because the river some times allows me to run at speeds of 50 - 60 mph.
The 21p will give you 60 mph if she [ engine ] can twist it, the 19p will give you 56 - 57 mph.

Thank you for the response. I have started looking around and have another question. Why would I choose a 3 bladed prop over a 4 bladed one? Wouldn't the 4 bladed be more efficient and have more bite, or is there something with the whaler that this will not work. (just asking, I again have no idea)
