posted 06-08-2004 09:13 PM ET (US)      I just saw an article (Soundings Trade Only) that indicates these will be in Dealer's hands in November of this year, as 2005 models. They weigh 530 Lb in 25" length, which puts them in between the 250 Optimax at 505# and the 250 HPDI at 543#. They will be 3-star rated, better then the 2-star rated Optimax or HPDI's, and on a par with the big 6 cylinder 4-strokes. Curiously, Evinrude is predicting that within 5 years these will be the best technology in outboards, ahead of the conventional 4-strokes and supercharged Verados. That we will have to see
