Hello all,

I have a 21 Outrage with a 200h.p. Evinrude I get approx. 46mph, I have read other posts where some folks are topping out in the mid 50's what pitch are you runing in this case???

Your rig needs a 14.25 x either 17 or 19p & the engine mounted up on the 3rd set of holes.
What year is your rig because it make a big difference ?

I will have to check the diameter but it is 19 on it now, I just had the engine gone over mechanic said it is A=1 shape. It is an older motor bur like I said very good shape

The older boats can run more pitch because they are much flatter with less dead rise.
You should be able to twist a 14.25 x 19 & still get 5,500 rpms out of her.
It's important that you mount that engine at least on the second set of holes from the lowest point.
Your most likely running a stock OMC prop, & you would be much better off with a s/s Stiletto which would allow the whole boat to ride higher off the water, thus better performance & low to mid 50s mph.

A 1982 21 Outrage doesn't exist! The 21 Outrage was taken out of production after 1979.

They make a 21' "Justice" for commercial, military, & homeland security, use but not an Outrage.

That's news to me that the Classic, original 21 Outrage "smooth Side" was made past 1979.

But assuming this is the boat you have, I know that Clark Roberts has told me his 1974 21 Outrage runs 56 mph with a Mercury 200 EFI and Laser II 19" prop at 6000RPM.

I have an 86 Evinrude 200 and a 19 pitch prop I guess I need to do some work some where because I'm 10 mph off pace
