I tow a 17 with a 2WD, 4.0 litre jeep cherokee with a 5 speed stick. The Jeep definitely liked my prior 15 more, but it still does the trick .... a little slow on the steep hills.

Your rig probably weighs 1900-2100lb, Denns.
Get the tow rating of your Sienna from the Toy dealer and DON'T exceed it.

I generally pull my '04 Montauk with my 04'HD 3/4 crew cab Duramax GMC, but I also pull it with my wifes '03 Toyota Camry. I stay around the area if I pull it with that though. It does a great job with it. The Camry has a four cyl. and the towing limit (per owners manual)is 2000 lbs. I called three local dealers and presented them with the towing concerns, and all three said, go by the owners manual, and you won't have a problem. I am running pretty close to 2000 lbs. as I'm set-up. Just my $.02 worth.

I have a Sienna and have towed a 3000lb boat/trailer. Your smaller tow weight should be fine. One thing though, do you have the Toyota towing package, trans cooler etc? JimB

I belive another forum member here has exactly that same setup if I'm not mistaken - even the same year Montauk - Gil Carpenter (email@example.com). He's a nice guy and I'm sure would give you some feedback. Tell him I sent you :)

I tow my 1994 Montauk with a Honda Oddysey van with the Honda tow package. It has a rating of 3500 lbs and I have had no problems with it. It is also a V6.
