Who is the best boat rigger in Northern California that will install a Mercury 115 EFI on a 170 Montauk?
Thanks for any recommendations.

I use a good Mercury Mechanic in Santa Cruz for mechanical and O&M work on my older Mercury Outboards, but don't know how he is with rigging. It might be worth a call.

Outboard Motor Shop in Alameda ia a whaler dealer, and their repair shop does the job right, the first time. We recently had them install a 2001 Mercury 75hp four-stroke on a new Alert hull, and a new 2004 Mercury 60hp four-stroke on a 1987 Montauk, for the SFYC Youth Sailing. All holes drilled properly, proper sealant, correct height, and well rigged (control cables, harness, fuel line and filter, and steering cable.) Without a doubt, they know what they are doing.

Thanks guys. I bought my Montauk at Outboard Motor Shop and they will not install the 115HP EFI on my boat because it exceeds the 90 hp rating.
I asked a couple of shops in Sacramento and they will no do it either.
