Have you had a chance to read A Primer on Primers?

I quit selling Tempo fuel lines and primer bulbs at the marina for that reason. I have never had a problem with Johnson/Evinrude or Mercury hoses and primer bulbs.

Excellent posts.

As per the article, I'm going to set the bulb up in a verticle direction.

I'll let you know if I see improvement.

Thanks

If you read the follow-up postings which are hyper-linked in my article (cited above), you will find more comments about TEMPO primer bulb failures.

I reattached primer bulb in veticle position. I also eliminated almost 4' of gas line in the process.

I'll let you know how it works out.

When I replaced my fuel line I followed the advice in Primer on Primers, used a Tempo bulb and best quality Sierra line and new fittings with the bulb near the engine. Works like a champ:-)

One more time this forum has made my day.
