Topic:   Transom motor height and jackplate on 22’ Whaler

posted 11-18-2004 01:06 PM ET (US)         How high on my transom should the outboard be mounted. I have 1984 22’ Revenge Cuddy with a 225 Evinrude, 25” transom with slashwell. It is now mounted one hole right up. I need to pull the motor and remount for gelcoat work and plugging holes. Does any have a jackplate on their 22’ Whaler with a big motor like that? Or is this a setup that would not really benefit from a jackplate. Archie
