What happens if the motor is mounted too high? I have my 15 footer, 50 h.p. mounted all the way up for shallow water fishing, the only possible set back seems to be that it takes more speed/rpms to stay on plane. Does anyone have any experience with experimting with this

You`ll need to use a prop with more pitch, how much more can only be determined through testing, and you`ll probably experience cavitation in rough water. Your load carrying ability will be less. Make sure you have enough pitch to keep your rpms within max range.Your top speed may be higher with a lite load. Hopefully your water pickup is still under the surface. |
