We just got a 1989 revenge walkthru in here at the dealership...powered with a 1998 200 EFI offshore.
Anyone have some personal insight on this model?

JimH be the man - See Cetacea Page 20.

A Merc 200 EFI could be nice power for that boat! (are you shocked?)

Here's a link to the online version of a brief review of this model that was published way back in the March 1988 issue of Go Boating magazine...

My oh my the typo in that review is hilarious!

Check out the last full paragraph...

And Terry, mine's a 25 foot, and a walkaround, so not quite comparable. But we love her!! Fishable, comfy for cruising, nice ride (we do use the trim tabs on choppy days), room for everyone.

Aquanut, I have one and love it. I just got it end of season last year, and have much less power on the transome. The boat is basically just a short 22' Revenge...negatives, less cockpit space, less running bottom, possible rumoured balance problem with length, no live well in deck.................positives, much smaller boat then a 22' when towing, better design splash well (full width), I have had no "balance " problem, no live well in deck. My boat has twin 70 hp yammies and although top speed is only about 35mph, she has had eight people in her while pulling up a skier and went to 30 mph fine, with more throttle left. The 20' Revenges seem to be a bit rare, as I suspect that there wasn't a big step up in price to the 22 foot version. The molded top piece that creates the cabin is the same on the 20,22, and 25 models and for the most part the canvas pieces are interchagable. I actually started out looking for a 22' outrage cuddy and then decided that the Revenge model would be better for my needs. This is my dream boat not too big not too small. What are you guys going to ask for the boat, or are you thinking about it for yourself?...............Jack

Hey Terry, as a newlywed you definitely need the boat that comes with a love bait well. That's a rare, rare feature.

The simple analysis: the 20 is bigger than an 18 and smaller than a 22.
