I have an 87 13 supersport which i am repowering with a 2005 40 2 stroke yamaha---good choice? any problems with installation? what prop pitch should i use ? any suggestions? thanks

I believe it's a great choice.
First off max 40 HP power is best on the classic 13 IMO, also with the 2 stroke your getting a lighter motor which means less stress on transom when trailering especially & in general.
Yamaha's are great engines { most of them } I had one & miss it @ times.
I'm presently an owner of a 1977 13 sport with a Merc 40 so I'm fimilar with the boat with this size motor...
I dont know prop size off hand but you want to see the RPM's towards the high end of operating range @ WOT for maximun performance..
Also a boat rigged with a Yamaha can be easier to sell if you decide too in the future
