940lbs and only 150 hp and i bet that is before the jetdrive.well it's definately a alternative for gas outboards,but i don't think a very feasible one.i tried to find a price but could'nt. |

Yeah, I shivered when I saw the weight spec too. but, the housing supposedly has 1000 lbs displacement in and of itself, so it should not raise the water line on the hull much. But, it is still weight the HP needs to overcome. I'd sure like to see some fuel burn numbers for the diesel. Based on the displacement, and running similar motors in heavy equipment, and assuming 30 mph cruise, my swag tells me around 5-6 mpg, which is pretty darn good for a jetdrive. BillS |

I dont think the jetpacs bouancy helps when you tow your boat. Mike |
