When you go to start up after winter don't squeeze the primer bulb for the oil tank. The primer bulb on the oil tank is only used for the initial setup or if a repair is made to the oiling system.

I bet there have been a lot of VRO pumps that have been replaced because the owner didn't understand the purpose of the primer bulb on the oil tank. Squeeze the bulb, fill the carbs full of oil, motor won't start, take the motor to a mechanic and the mechanic says it's that darn VRO pump.

Hope this helps.
