CJD1	posted 08-25-2005 03:41 PM ET (US)         What is the considered maximum clearance between the Impeller blade and the housing before it is in need of replacement. My boat is very sluggish and I suspect the jet pump is severly worn.???? Thanks
where2	posted 08-25-2005 09:14 PM ET (US)             The service manual fails to note any particular clearance that is typical, or a clearance that is excessive. Try contacting http://www.turbojetmarineproducts.com/home.htm They seem to be the experts on the system, as well as the main parts source. Personally, I'd like to try their performance kit, or a boat outfitted with one. It's actually a smaller nozzle, so it creates higher thrust force which increases max speed, and should also help with hole shot.
