beej	posted 09-03-2006 08:08 AM ET (US)         My 70 hp '06 2stroke 70 hp Yamaha has a 17" pitch aluminum (Yamaha) prop on a 15' cc that @ WOT makes 5900 rmps and 39mph. The 22 yr old Johnson I replaced w/ unknown Prop pitch made 43mph :( If I put a 19" aluminum prop on I know it would knock down the rpms, but would my speed increase, or is this the best I can expect. Thanks
Peter	posted 09-03-2006 08:49 AM ET (US)             I think you may be bumping into the rev limiter. You need to use a 19 inch pitch for that combination. My 2003 70 Yamaha turns up to 5900 RPM with a 13 x 19 inch Yamaha aluminum propeller and that pushes the 15 SuperSport to 42 MPH.
