Peter BW	posted 09-23-2006 12:35 PM ET (US)         Dear Sirs, I have an Outrage V-20 and I found out in the inner part of the hull a number (8A0493). It is a kind of hidden number and I would like to know something about this number as the HIN written in the embossed metal tag to the outboard face of the transom is illegible. Tom W Clark	posted 09-23-2006 01:01 PM ET (US)             Peter, That stenciled number does not tell us much apart from it is a 20' Whaler built between 1978 and 1987. The HIN will tell you the month and year of manufacture.
