Just bought a 928 and was wondering if anyone has towed with one. Owners manual says she can tow over 3k but who knows and who makes a hitch? I would just be towing a 13 sport so no biggie if hitch is available.

There`s a lawn maintenance guy I see in my neighborhood that uses a 928 to tow his lawn trailer. He says it tows his lawn tractor OK, but to keep the weight down he keeps his gas cans and trimmers in the back seat.

I passed one on the highway last week pulling a two horse trailer loaded. Appeared to be doing alright but I was on the bike and didn't follow too long. I pulled a Katama for a while with a Nissan Murano with no problems, but a loaded two horse trailer would be pretty gutsy to me.

Happy Turkey Day Nick! Congrats. on the Porshie! DL is sporting a Cayenne these days but I'm not sure I'd let him tow my woodsplitter, let alone back it! Rated for like 9k pounds, or something. A 13? No sweat! Bet a new Bug could do it. zot.

Never towed with mine - to be honest never considered it.

What year did you get? I just sold my 86.5 Guards Red 5 speed. Totally regret selling it.

I've seen some of our Dutch neighbours towing these things before...and boats as well.

I've always thought there might be a way to combine my two favorite summer hobbies, my motorcycle and Whaler. However I suspect the outrage would just be too much, even for my liter bike!
A neighbor a while back had an ingenious setup where he would tow his canoe for a few miles behind his mountain bike. He made a swivel hitch which connected the bow of the overturned boat to the luggage rack and then mounted wheels to the stern. Of course he loked like a nut (which he was) but I had to give credit for a creative idea.
