BooBoo	posted 03-05-2007 07:40 AM ET (US)         There are a couple dozen newer 130 Sports around here with factory-installed 25hp Mercs. Our lake is pretty small and is limited to 25hp maximum. The <2006 25hp Mercs just don't seem to "cut the mustard". Has anyone repowered their >2000 130 Sport with a different 25hp motor and found improvements? I have seen one with a 1999 Suzuki 2-stroke 25hp and one with a heavier 2003 Suzuki 4-stroke 25hp. Any other suggestions in the 25hp range? Has anyone tried the new 2007 Suzuki 25V or new 2007 Mercury 25hp? BooBoo
contender	posted 03-05-2007 04:35 PM ET (US)             I do not care what you buy (get a rude) but make sure to get a 2 stroke. 4 stroke is a lot of extra weight, and I do not think you will notice the difference. A boat this small you want get up and go. And the fuel difference is nill...good luck
