Finally pulled the trigger on a single 275 Verado to replace 2001 optimax that came with the boat. I know it's long shot, but is anyone out there running a single 275 Verado on a similar hull?, and if so what propeller are you running. I am fairly sure that i want an enertia prop and my dealer will let me test them, but i was hoping to avoid the hassle if anyone else has already been through it. Thanks....

Once you have it figured out, please share performance feedback. Lots of us will be interested in eventually following you in upgrading to the Verado on similar Whalers.
How difficult was it to switch out the throttle and starting systems? I assume you went with the DTS and smartcraft instrumentation.

Mambo: I won't get the boat back until tomorrow. I did switch to the DTS controls and guages, as well as switch over to the compatible power steering. My mechanic said that he usually has some hickups but mine went really smooth. I don't know how diffucult it is, but he charged me 12 hours of labor ($1,140.00) to de-rig the optimax and install everything.
