I'm looking to purchase a early 1990's 25 outrage with twin 150's that needs repowering. I heard that this boat needs 20 inch shafts for twins. Can anyone verify that info is accurate? What would happen if repowered with 25 inch shafts? |

That is correct, the classic 25s use 20" shaft length twins or a single 25" shaft length motor. You can use twin 25" shaft length motors but you will need to use jack plates with each of them to raise the motors that extra 5". This would not be a big deal and would result in a pretty nice set up of counter rotating motors, something you don't get with 20" motor (unless you modify one of them.) |

Ok thanks for the help. I'm looking at a pair of used 150 4 strokes with one counter rotating. |

Yes, that would be very nice power for an Outrage 25. |
