leapinlunker	posted 06-10-2008 08:22 AM ET (US)         Is there anything I can do to my 2 stroke Merc to gain a few more HP's? I have several props that I've played with and they have tweeked a few more mph's, but I'd like to pick up say, 10 more horsepower.
fishgutz	posted 06-10-2008 09:24 AM ET (US)             WOW, 25% increase in horsepower? Unlikely. Find a boat repair/speed shop with a dyno. Sometimes they can sqeeze a couple more horsepower out of a motor. Getting 10 more HP is what everyone wants. If it could be done, everyone would be doing it. Year, model, gear ratio, boat model, typical load info would be helpful. Maybe some of us can do some tweaking, but 10 more horsepower? Uh-uh.
