I certainly was worried about this as I have heard horror stories that mixing E-10 and reg gas ends up clogging filters and creating gunk that the engines can't digest. For me the change was a breeze. Here's what I did....

1. get the tank as empty as possible - for those of you that can trailer..I'd drain the tank dry...but I got my 287 capacity down to about 25 gallons
2. I then refilled with 87 E-10 and made several runs over 3 weeks at 5000 - checking filters every time I came back...filters are clean as a whistle so far - but I'm carrying extra filters for my upcoming Bimini trip just in case..
3. I'm running quikleen and MDR Water Zorb...after two E10 tanks, I'm showing no water in the filters at all....I'm also hearing from some guys I respect that starbright Startron is working well too....use what makes you happy or nothing at all.....

Performance is also the same - hitting 58 with my Rev4's at 6300.......

I'm thinking that E10 is bad if you lay up for a couple months - my boat gets used 4 times a week...
