I am redoing a 1986 Boston Whaler 13-foot boat. It will have a small center seat, center console, and forward live well. I am repowering it with a Yamaha 50-HP two-cycle motor with standard gearcase that will be mounted on the transom without jackplate. The additional 10-HP for the livewell weight around 100 pounds. I would like to run a stainless steel propeller. Recommend a propeller pitch and brand. How high to run the engine on transom? Thanks,
Russ

Russ - I was wondering if you already have the Yamaha 50? If not I have a 2005 Yamaha 50hp, maybe 60 hours of use, that I am replacing with a Yamaha 90hp. The boat/motor is in Port Charlotte, FL. Let me know if you might be interested. The motor runs a Power Tech ILC3 11 1/4 X 13 SS prop.
