I was able to get out today with the 88 Outrage 18 that I repowered with a 2005 Yamaha 150. Date 11/3/10 Weight carried Tested with Lowrance GPS RPM Speed GPH idle 600 2.82 0.5 The prop did not have enough pitch to keep it under 6000 RPM but the hole shot was great. This is the same prop that we had on the 175 Evinrude. With the same load in the boat, WOT was 5500. Comments? Robert |

For waterskiing at elevation and hauling more people and/or a greater amount of gear in warmer weather, it is probably perfect. For conditions like today you will make better use of the 17" pitch Advantage. |

Thanks Tom and also a thanks to Nick for the lead on the F 150. We got one last ski ride in and the water was pretty cold, but very flat. We were the only boat out on the lake. The wake is very flat at 31 mph and light stern load in the boat. Here's my wife on her last ski ride of the season. http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc249/RobertRibley/September20102.jpg Robert |

Yeah, nice pic. I've said before in another thread that in my opinion, when you have a small boat that will be tasked with both heavy loading situations like pulling skiers or planing heavy loads as well as light load situations, like when guys like to go fast in their sport 15's, its worth bellying up and having more than one prop. I don't think you'll be sorry in the long run. -Peter |
