The rubber rib boat (or one just like it) was a drug boat used over in England to get under the radar. When I was growing up in south Fla. there were 3 go fast boats for the big outboards, Checkmate, Rapier, and one other that was a pop off of the Checkmate (can not think of the name right now). With the big Merc's they were turning around 70-75 mph...this was the late 60's early 70's... I had a 15' Rapier with the new 140 Mercury that just came out with the power trim/tilt, that had a separate hydraulic pump for this... |

I hope Disney World buys a fleet of those little 11 footers and puts them on their little lake for rent. I think the tourists would enjoy them. |
