All this talk about Montauks and speed and performance and E-TEC's versus the rest, got me to thinking...

Even though I generally don't even care much about how fast my Alert/Montauk is, since it's utility/appliance-type boat, I finally got a bored moment and went and looked at the prop in more detail than I did when I bought the boat, at which time, I just made sure the prop looked undamaged.

Well, it is a Rapture prop. A little googling tells me it is made by Michigan Wheel. It appears to have a lot of cupping and rake. But I cannot for the life of me, find the stamping that tells of it's measurements.

Some more googling, and I found a little ditty from Tom saying something along the lines that it is a good prop. It's nice to have that blessing.

This boat has a HEAVY Mercury 90hp FourStroke.

The size and part number should be on the aft end of the hub casting, You may have to remove the prop nut and washer to see it.
