Jim- The boat looks great you should be proud as I'm sure you are. Nice tow vehicle also. Enjoy, Eric |

Jim - she's a beauty! Really looks immaculate. I'm excited for you and Chris, and hope we can do some boating together soon (next Spring, I suppose, given what the weather seems to be doing). Sorry I missed the Lake Michigan run; looks like you had a great time without me, though. Congratulations- Kingfish |

Jim - Boat looks really great. You certainly picked the right hull for a cruise on the east shore of Lake Michigan. Outraged and I were boating out of the Holland harbor which is just a few harbors down from Muskegon on the same day in his 1976 outrage 19. You're right, there were some nice waves that day and your boat looks great going through them. Good luck and enjoy the boat, Pete |

Tom, John, Pete, Thanks for the kind words about the boat. We have really been enjoying it. I hope we can get together next season for some more Lake Michigan Whalering. --jimh |

Jim, Your new boat looks great. Best wishes with it. I really like the design of that model. The next Whaler I get will have a cabin as well. Nice to overnight or get out of the weather. The canvas looks awsome as well. Good luck. You'll have all winter to think about next season....So will most of us. Take care...Mark |

An interesting thing about the Revenge model is that the cabin seems to be about the same size in all three models, 20-foot, 22-foot, 25-foot. The larger boats have wider beam, but this seems to be added as more width in the gunwales, keeping the cabin superstructure the same size in all three. On the Revenge-20 there are no gunwales at all; on the Revenge-25 there are gunwales about 3.5-inches wide. The vee-berths are the same size, 7-foot, on all three, and the same cavas can be used on all three. This gave me a bit of a start when I opened the boxes from Mills and saw the packing slip listing all the pieces as for "22-Revenge". A quick call to Leslie reassured me that this was the correct canvas for the 20-Revenge, too. The Revenge series seems to surprise a lot of people--they didn't know Whaler made a cuddy cabin boat. I really didn't either until a few months ago. |

Jim, Congratulations on the new boat! Glad to see you "took my advice" (from my reply on 6/23 to the topic "Ventura-Anyone have one?" in Neo-Classics) and went with a Revenge. The pictures are great. The boat looks super, even with the bottom paint. I look forward to reading all about your future adventures with her. Have fun, |

Jim Your 20 Revenge W.T. looks like it is in top condition. Your remarks regarding cabin size confirm my observations. When I was looking to purchase a Revenge I was divided somewhat between the 22 and the 25. I eventually went with the 22 because I noticed that the cabins were the same size only the cockpit space in the 25 was larger. Although a 25 would provide a nicer ride, I thought that the 25 was a bit more boat than I wanted to handle on a trailer so I went with the 22. Making a one-size-fits-all cabin cap for the 20, 22 and 25 made a lot of sense from the tooling cost perspective for Whaler. And best of all, the one-size-fits-all cabin apparently works well for all three sizes. Incidentally, it is my impression that there is more space in the Revenge cabin than there is in the Conquest 21 or 23 cabin. |

I added a new photograph to the CETACEA page on our Revenge-20. This shot finally shows a little bit of the waves we were out in. Check it out at: http://continuouswave.com/whaler/cetacea/cetaceaPage20.html And regarding the size of the Revenge on the trailer: I have to agree, the 25-foot boat is a _monster_ on the trailer. The 20-foot boat is a little less intimidating. Coming from having a little 15-footer that could be moved by one person while on the trailer, this new boat is really a big jump for us in terms of size. --jimh |
