jimh	posted 07-18-2005 08:19 PM ET (US)             Yes, typically there is a fuse under the cowling of most outboard motors which protects against over-current in branch circuits from the main battery cable.
LHG	posted 07-19-2005 03:08 PM ET (US)          Mercury puts a 20 amp fuse on both the starter circuit and the power trim. Aways carry a spare fuse this size on board.

Chuck Tribolet	posted 07-21-2005 10:36 PM ET (US)             Pull the cover off and look. On my 96ish 90 HP Evinrude (same basic motor), it's real obvious with the cover off, and there's even a spare fuse. Chuck
