Anybody know whether the 'ducer cable connector from one late-model Lowrance sonar/fishfinder would likely fit another late model Lowrance sonar/FF?

I am thinking about upgrading from my Lowrance LMS-332C with a 5" screen to an LCX-110C having a 10" screen. (My eyes are not up to the challenge of the small screen). I REALLY do not want to have to ever re-snake a 'ducer cable throught the rigging tunnel. That was one chore I was glad to be done with!

If the cables are not interchangeable, maybe I'll just splice the ends.

I sent an email to Lowrance, but with the holidays, no word back.

Thanks,
Marsh

Marsh, I think using the old cable as a pull string would be easier then trying to splice the cables. I'm waiting to see a reply if they are compatible, as I'm thinking of upgrading my depth finder to a GPS/ depth. Here's hoping for our sake that they are compatible!.............Jack

Bulldog:
It's not the pull string that's a problem...it's the nearly 1-inch diameter connector terminal on the end that's the problem. Took my tugging on and off, every evening for over a week, plus 1/2 bottle of dish soap, to get the 'ducer cable through my tunnel the first time. I'll be danged if I'll ever do that again!!! I'd rather take a beating... or just trade boats. Well...maybe that's a bit extreme, but you know what I mean.

Go Dogs, beat WVU!

I do not believe transducers are interchangeable.

I have a Lowrance LCX 19C. I have had the transducer replaced twice. The last time it was replaced was because Lowrance said I had an upgraded LCX 19C which did not work with the old LCX 19C transducer.

Looks like some are same part number, as long as they are either both color, or both monochrome. Can't go from mono to color with same ducer. Got info from Lowrance site.

Sorry, Marsh I didn't see the models you posted. Looks like you're good to go. Both 332C and 110C use pn 106-71, transom mounted skimmer-type.

when i had to snake something through the tunnel i found it was easer if i went strait up through the drain plug no bending or pushing a wire under a control cable mine are all nice and loose laying ontop of eachother
