I would like to add radar to my 25' Revenge. I anticipate installing it under my hardtop in an electronic box.

My one trip to Westmarine led me to consider the Raymarine C-80 with radar. Suggestions please.

"I anticipate installing it under my hardtop in an electronic box."

You may anticipate installing the display unit there, but the radome has to go above the hardtop somewhere. Lots of companies, like Epson, make small radar mouting platforms.

I had a Raytheon RL72 for several years - I cannot speak too highly of it. I was always amazed at how it was able to "clean up" the display from a rolloing a pitching small boat.

The cheap Furuno, believe it is 1622 worked well for me and the cost was just over $1000.
Now I have a small screen Furuno Nav Net and can't say enough good about it. I especially like overlaying the radar on top of the chart. The fishfinder is great and the unit only takes one small place on the dash.
