I just installed a Humminbird 937c on a friend's Montauk. This unit is very impressive for the size and price. It is a relatively easy install and Humminbird has install details very well thought out. We mounted the 937c in it's bracket on top of the center console, all the way to port. Then we flush-mounted the GPS antenna (included) on the starboard side between the center-mounted compass and his VHF radio. Very clean!
The unit has an 854w x 480h color display which makes it easy to display sonar and chartplotter side by side. It takes the new Navionics XL3 chips which cover a huge area. The West Great Lakes chip we got covers all of Lake Michigan, Lake Superior, and Lake Huron. He also has a place in Florida so we got the SE US chip which covers all of Florida (except the Panhandle), the Keys, Georgia and South Carolina, and the Bahamas...all on an MMC chip the size of a postage stamp.
I highly recommend this unit for any installation where space is at a premium. It's "widescreen" aspect ratio is particularly well suited for electronics boxes which are typically much wider than they are high.
