I have the photo G2 chip for SE Florida and the Bahamas today and will evaluate in the next week on the Verado trip to Bimini. It runs as an outside chip in slot #1 and loads a small camera icon near all points of interest, harbors and the like. You cursor over them and the photographs load and appear. Not like the overlay on Raymarine units, these are really just pictures. When on the screen nothing else appears like the cursor. They are daylight pictures of the vicinity:

Interesting stuff--Glen's boat is equipped rather close to the cutting edge of marine electronics.

so far the only advantage I can see to having photos is if you are navigating inlets and harbors you are totally unfamiliar with such as the bahamas...however although this chip is a bahamas/US chip, there are NO pics avail for anything outside the US...if you negotiate the same waters all the time like me, the chip is somethng that just wows the relatives, as far as I can tell.....
and once again, none of the pics are avail on the 3-D highway screen....
