The Yamaha 225-HP motor on my OUTRAGE 22 has a small red lead coming from the motor that is for "charging the accessory battery." Where do I hook up this cable. I am also installing a battery maintainer. How do I hook this up so that both batteries will be charged when the selector switch is on off?

I'm installing a selector switch. I can switch between battery #1 and #2 but #1 will be the primary starting battery.

Thanks for the help,

You'll need two battery maintainers, or one that's made for
two batteries. In either case, they get wired directly to
the battery.

Check with the installation instructions in your Yamaha outboard service manual for advice on how to connect the accessory battery charging lead. Typically if an engine has a dual battery charging circuit, you connect the extra charger output directly to the second battery.

The installation instructions on your battery maintainer will have advice on how to connect it. If you have two batteries, you should purchase a battery maintainer designed for two battery banks. It will have two sets of leads which will connect the maintainer to each of your two batteries.
