It appears Lowrance is coming out with new products for their 2007 lineup and will revamp their existing lineup to include ethernet expansion ports, 30GB hard drives, and the LGC-3000 external GPS antenna.

See http://www.tigergps.com/lowrancexmas2006.html for details.

Check out the new LCX-38C 8.4"

That explains a lot. I'd noticed that they had already marked models like the LCX-25C as discontinued, and these have been in scarce supply.

I just bought the Lowrance 527DF and am having it installed next week. I'll report back on my thoughts and how the install went. It's an internal GPS/FF.

I just bought the LMS 525c DF. Spent the weekend trying to complete the install, almost there. The network thing and need for a designated fuse block has slowed me down a bit but I'm almost there. I'll post results when I get it out.

Trying to figure out which chart product I want right now for Gulf.

I ended up ordering the nauticpath coastal charts and the Fishing hotspots east. Should be on my desk when I get back to the office in a couple days. Anyone have any experience with either of these cards?
