I am running a Lowrance 111C HD with the Fishing Hot Spots Elite map preloaded. How do the new Navionics Hotmaps Premium 2007 charts compare to the preloaded Fishing Hotspots Elite charts? Is it worth the cost to add it? All opinions would be appreciated.

I have the LCX26CHD with the Navionics added a few weeks ago and I find myself switching between the maps. I find that the extra detail and contours make the map too cluttered and busy, but really have not had more than a few days using it. Had to deal with guests and will look into this in detail when alone.

I think the mapping package depends on how far your fishing takes you, if you travel the country it is a very good deal. If you fish in a small area local all the time I would think a single chip would be more economical since these electronics are like computers--they drop in value very fast.

I use the LCX26CHD for my GPS and a LCX25C for fish finder. This gives me a great backup and allows me to use the chip in both units if needed.

Just installed a LMS 334 GPS and Fish Finder and am now confused as to which software to buy and install. I plan on fishing lakes in the Northwest. I have read the various packages, lakes, hot lakes, and so on. They don't give enough info on the differences and there are no sample maps shown. What is the best product to buy? Thanks

I am running the 111c hd for my charts and an Eagle Seachamp 2000c df for a sounder.

You mentioned that you switch the chips back and forth between units. Since the Navonics SD chips are compadable between both units then I guess I could switch the Navonics Fishing Hot Spots and the Navonics Coastal charts back and forth between my units.

It seemed that the Navonics lake Fishing Hot Spots map has better lake maps than the Lowrance Fishing Hot spots Elite map preloaded on my 111c hd.

Milt, yes you can switch these out and after thinking about it more your larger screen will be very usefull in seeing the detail in the 07 premium lake maps. For the record I tested the LCX25C with the chip but plan to leave all the mapping chips in the LCX26CHD, this way I can select from the list the map I need. With the hard drive I have plenty of storage for map data as you know. All of this has worked out well so far.
