My Nauset has no lights at all, but the bow area where the bow light should be appears to be plugged. Could be wires below the surface? Where would they lead to?

Jim is correct on this one, the older whalers use to have a small plastic( think it was yellow) dot over the area were the wires were inside the hull. If your whaler is newer model you can run the wires behind the rubrail, just becareful not to harpoon it with a screw or rivet...good luck
